Now for someone who does not like to be told what to do, I have been really enjoying the use of sketches. Once I realized that it was ok to deviate from the sketch, I no longer felt that my creativity was being hampered. So, instead of being bossy, sketches are now “creative suggestions.”
Since I started scrapbooking I have lurked around the Pagemaps cite and blog. Until today, I never actually used any of the sketches. So I dove right in for the April Pagemaps sketch contest. Got my hot hands on some beautiful Simple Stories Vintage Bliss, printed out some adorable photos of my sweet Elsie and got to work.
